Remember the 2013 hit Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, Pharrell and T.I? Since the release of the song, Robin and Pharrell have been fight the family of the late singer Marvin Gaye.  The family claimed that the song was too similar too the Marvin Gaye’s 1977 hit “Got to Give it Up”.

Well, a judge recently ruled in favor of the Gaye family making them entitles to 50% off all royalties from the song by Robin Thicke. Basically this ruling says that Robin Thicke and Pharrell maybe responsible for paying the family close to $5.3 million.   The judge did rule that T.I. will not be effected by the ruling because he only contributed a verse to the song while Robin has writer’s and producers credit and Pharrell is the producer of the track.
