From health and wellness resources to understanding what's on the ballot this November, here are two events you should have on your calendar.

Masten District Councilwoman Zeneta Everhart is inviting residents to come together for the Masten District Stakeholders Brunch, a morning focused on community conversations, health, wellness and neighborhood updates.

This isn't just another meeting. It's an opportunity for residents to connect with organizations providing valuable resources while learning more about what's happening throughout the district.

The event will feature the Buffalo Center for Health Equity, No Menthol Buffalo, WE R A ST, UB's Mobile Health Unit, Community Health Center of Buffalo, Resource Council of WNY and more.

And yes, brunch will be provided by the Masten District, with catering by Dorothy!

Whether you're looking for wellness resources, want to stay connected to neighborhood developments or simply want to be more involved in your community, this is a great opportunity to pull up.

It's On The Ballot: Buffalo Charter Amendments Community Discussion

With Election Day approaching on November 3, there's another important conversation happening in Buffalo that deserves your attention.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Western New York, NAACP Buffalo Branch, the Buffalo and Erie County chapters of The Links, Incorporated, and community partners are hosting "It's On The Ballot," a discussion focused on the City of Buffalo Charter amendments appearing on the November ballot.

We often hear about candidates running for office, but understanding the proposed changes to how our city operates is just as important.

This event gives residents an opportunity to learn more about the proposed amendments before heading to the polls.

Refreshments will be served.

One thing I will always encourage is showing up for your community. Whether it's taking advantage of resources available to you or getting informed before casting your vote, being engaged matters.

So mark your calendars, share these events with someone who needs to know, and make it a point to get involved.
