Aretha Franklin dresses, shoes and much more will be on display at new Exhibit
It's only been a couple weeks since we said goodbye to the Queen of SOUL. The city of Detroit is opening a museum in honor of the late great Aretha Franklin. This tribute will be at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History from September 24 – January 21st, 2019. As apart of the museum there will be shoes and clothes worn by Aretha, videos and photographs from her legendary career, and more tokens of remembrance.
According to museum board member, Kelly Major Green “This is an opportunity for people to come back and engage, reminisce and reflect. It’s the beginning of a much longer expression of who Aretha is.”
