Sir John & Friends Are Bringing a Creative Conversation to Buffalo
Buffalo, this is one you’re going to want on your calendar.
On Saturday, October 17, the Burchfield Penney Art Center is bringing together fashion, art, identity, culture and entrepreneurship for “Find Your FIT: A Creative Conversation with Sir John & Friends.”

And yes, we’re talking about Sir John, globally renowned celebrity makeup artist, creative director and cultural tastemaker. His work has taken him around the world and placed him alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment and fashion. Now, he’s coming to Buffalo for a conversation that goes beyond beauty and gets into the business and creativity behind building your identity and finding your lane.
What I really love about this event is that the conversation also puts some of Buffalo’s creative talent in the room.
Sir John will be joined by Nicole Davis, founder of Franci by Nicole Davis Jewelry; Chase Cobbina, aka Billie Essco, artist, designer, musician and co-founder of CAFE+CZEN; and Erin Habes, lecturer in Buffalo State University’s Fashion & Textile Technology Department and creative strategist.

The conversation will be curated by Tiffany Gaines, curator of FIT: Buffalo. Fashion, Identity, and Transformation, the exhibition currently on view at the Burchfield Penney.
This is the kind of Town Rundown event I love because it speaks to what is happening creatively right here in Buffalo while connecting our city to voices with global influence.
Whether you’re in fashion, beauty, music, media, art, entrepreneurship or you’re simply trying to figure out what your own creative path looks like, there is something powerful about getting in rooms where people are talking about the journey — not just the finished product.
Find Your FIT happens Saturday, October 17, from 5:30–8:00 PM at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Tickets are $45 general admission and $35 for members.
Go Gettas, get in the room. You never know what conversation, connection or idea might spark your next move.
