When you’re looking for an easy way to beat the heat this summer, there is nothing more accessible than your local mall. We’re lucky to have the Walden Galleria here in Buffalo to be able to spend a scorching summer day nearby.

One of the largest malls in New York State, you could easily spend an entire day (heck, an entire weekend) inside Walden Galleria soaking up the air conditioning and finding things to do.

You could spend a couple of hours window shopping. Another hour actually shopping. An hour sitting down for lunch. Two to three hours catching a movie. Another hour for dinner. Add on the countless other activities the Walden Galleria has to offer and before you know it - boom. An entire amazing summer day is in the books.

How to spend the entire day at Walden Galleria

Have a “spa” day

Who says treating yourself at the mall means carrying tons of shopping bags? Get your nails done, your eyebrows waxed, your lashes extended, or get a full-body massage.

“Work”

With their free wi-fi and lots of comfy seating options, it’s easy to find an excuse to work from “home” at the Galleria. We won’t judge you if you just decide to people-watch for a few hours, though.

Have lunch (and dinner)

With nine restaurants to sit and have a relaxing meal and several more where you can grab something to go in the food court, you can treat yourself to the most important meal(s) of the day at the mall.

Catch a movie

Waste a few hours seeing a summer blockbuster and stuffing your face with popcorn.

Meet for happy hour

Santora’s Pizza Pub & Grill has over 32 taps to choose from to grab a pint with co-workers or your buddies.

Tire out the kids

Make a reservation at 5 Wits, an interactive and collaborative experience that takes the escape-room trend to a whole new level. Or, you could take the kids to play at Billy Beez, watch the game while they crush video games at Dave & Buster's, or make a new friend at Build-A-Bear for them to take home.

The Most Gigantic Malls In New York State
