'WBLK DISCUSSION' - Should Kids Play with Toy Guns?

I am so grateful that my Mom was completely against guns of any form or fashion when I was a kid ... even a Toy Gun. I was not allowed to play with one when I was growing up and I've grown into an adult with an opinion such that ... kids should never be able to 'PLAY SHOOT' EM UP'". I'm of the opinion that simply holding a toy gun can be detrimental ... mentally. Once a kid holds a toy gun in his / her hands it's so much easier for them to hold and progress to using a Real Gun as an adult. Thank God New York State has a ban on Toy Guns and a 'Toy Gun Buy Back Program'. the only problem is that it's not ongoing...and it should be... in my opinion.
