Death Penalty Sought for Two Buffalo Men Charged in Triple Homicide
According to Spectrum News, 47-year-old Jariel Cobb, and 38-year-old James Reed, who have been charged in the triple homicide murders of Miguel Anthony Valentin-Colon and Nicole Marie Merced-Plaud, and their friend, Dhamyl Roman-Audiffred, are now possibly facing the NYS Death Penalty.
If you recall, Miguel Anthony Valentin-Colon and Nicole Marie Merced-Plaud, are the parents of Noelvin, who was 3-years-old at the time.at the time (one year ago last September), Noevlin was the boy found on a porch on Potomac Avenue on the east side of Buffalo. According to Spectrum News, both of Noevlin's parents we're found in a burnt vehicle which was discovered
"deep in a lot behind a warehouse on Tonawanda Street. When they arrived, they made a gruesome discovery: the charred remnants of two bodies"
Spectrum News is reporting that U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy is in talks with the U.S. Attorney General's Office regarding the Death Penalty. There is no more death penalty in NYS because it was ruled to be unconstitutional in 2004. The last person that was put to death in NYS was in 1963 and in 2004 NYS took a stance against capital punishment saying that it violates the New York State Constitution.
You may be, as I was, concerned as to where Noevlin is and whatever happened with him...at least this is Good News. It was reported by WGRZ that Noelvin Valentin's Grandmother, Zenaida Colon, his paternal grandmother, was given temporary custody of Noelvin on September 27, 2020
