For the last several days, members of the Buffalo and Western New York community have been donating and visiting the site of the Tops on Jefferson Ave. on Buffalo east side.

The community is still grieving after a gunman took the lives of 10 people and three more were injured during a racially motivated attack this past Saturday.

The entire Buffalo Bills team and staff were at the scene on Wednesday, along with both Bills and Sabres players, as they served food to the community and volunteered their time.

Thursday saw more notable individuals on Jefferson Avenue and at the Resource Council on East Ferry.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Bills and Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula, along with Bills and Sabres alumni visited the scene on Thursday. All volunteered time and that includes now retired play-by-play man, Rick Jeanneret.

Jeanneret, Rob Ray and Patrick Kaleta were shown placing flowers on the Jefferson Ave. memorial. The Sabres tweeted out the video on Thursday.

Seeing Rick's face just puts everything into perspective. To be there with the community, at the site of the tragedy, is incredibly powerful.

If you want to find ways to help those in the community, visit the Community Resource Document which has ways to help, what to donate, where to donate and volunteer, and desired resources.
