
Rafael “Pito” Rivera Family Files Suit Against Buffalo Police and Officer Who Shot and Killed “Pito”
When this incident took place a year ago, the media was invited to come to Steve Cohen's Office to view a surveillance camera view of Rafael "Pito" Rivera being shot by Buffalo Police Officer Elmur Karadzhayev. The result of that Officer-Involved Shooting was that Rivera died at the scene after being shot six times at close range.

After it was announced and determined that no charges would be filed against the Officer, the Hispanic Community protested the decision
