While Buffalo and the Buffalo Bills had the inspiration Pancho Billa (Ezra Castro), who they admired and connected with, Anderson, North Carolinians had an icon of their own. James 'Radio' Kennedy, the inspiration for the movie 'Radio', but even more so the inspiration for any student who played football or fan who watched T.L. Hanna High School Football, has died at the age of 73.

This is a beautiful life story not only about James 'Radio' Kennedy but also about a coach (Coach Harold Jones) who virtually saved a young 18-year-old boy's life, ultimately making it possible for the story, life, and movie relative to James 'Radio' Kennedy a reality.
