The Main Block Party Returns to Downtown Buffalo
If there's one thing Buffalo knows how to do, it's bring people together, and when you add fashion, music, food, and some of our city's talented creatives into the mix, you already know it's going to be a time.
Buffalo Fashion Runway is bringing The Main Block Party back to Fountain Plaza on Saturday, August 29, from noon to 6 p.m., and the best part is that it's completely FREE and open to the public.

After welcoming more than 1,500 people during its inaugural year, The Main Block Party is returning with another full day built around community. Expect fashion, live entertainment, local food, vendors, games, giveaways, interactive experiences and opportunities to discover some of the people and businesses making things happen right here in Buffalo.
Families can also take advantage of a back-to-school bookbag giveaway as we prepare to send our babies back into the classroom.
For me, events like this represent what makes Buffalo special. You can bring the kids, support a local business, discover a new artist, grab something to eat and run into somebody you haven't seen in forever, all in the heart of Downtown Buffalo.

And this year's entertainment lineup is giving us even more reason to pull up.
Buffalo artist Lindsay Niccs is among the featured performers, along with the Brothers Band. The main stage will also showcase Haadiyah, Labrina, Luqburr, Corrine Renee and Vaughn Maxwell. DJ Goose will keep the music going throughout the day.
Of course, you can't have a Buffalo Fashion Runway event without fashion.
The BFR Fashion Activation hits the main stage at 3 p.m., putting style and creativity front and center and giving attendees another opportunity to experience Buffalo's growing fashion community.
And guess who will be on the mic?
I'm excited to join Schondra as one of this year's hosts! Y'all know I love an opportunity to celebrate Buffalo, our creatives, and our community, so I'm looking forward to being right there in the middle of everything happening at Fountain Plaza.

What I appreciate most about The Main Block Party is that it isn't limited to one thing. Yes, we're celebrating fashion. Yes, we're celebrating music. But we're also creating space for entrepreneurs, families, artists, and community organizations to connect.
That's important.
Downtown should feel like a place where all of Buffalo can gather, and events like this give people a reason to experience the city differently. It's an opportunity to shop with a local vendor you may have never discovered, hear an artist for the first time, expose your children to creativity, and simply enjoy Buffalo while the weather is still giving us these beautiful summer days.

So grab the family, call your people and meet us downtown.
The Main Block Party happens Saturday, August 29, from noon to 6 p.m. at Fountain Plaza.
It's free. It's family-friendly. And we're taking over the block.
I'll see you there!
