Buffalo Urban League Launches Free Program to Help Local Nonprofits Grow
If there's one thing I know about Buffalo, it's that we have some incredible organizations doing the work to make our community better. From supporting families and creating opportunities for our youth to addressing some of our city's biggest challenges, our nonprofits show up every single day.
But here's the thing. Having a great mission is one thing. Having the resources, systems and support to sustain that mission is another.
And that's why I wanted to share this opportunity in the Town Rundown!
The Buffalo Urban League is now accepting applications for the Fidelis Care Center for Community Advancement (FCCCA), a fully funded program designed to help Buffalo's community-based organizations strengthen their operations and position themselves for long-term growth.
And when I say fully funded, I mean FREE! There is no cost for participating organizations.
Beginning November 5, eight selected organizations will participate in a cohort-based, peer-to-peer learning experience focused on building the infrastructure needed to grow and sustain their impact.

What's Included in the Program?
This isn't just another workshop where you take a few notes and head home. The FCCCA program provides hands-on learning, personalized guidance and opportunities to connect with other nonprofit leaders.
Participating organizations will receive:
- 16 expert-led sessions and seven peer labs covering governance, financial management, grant development and communications.
- Monthly one-on-one coaching tailored to each organization's specific needs.
- A funded $750 advisory voucher to access specialized professional support.
- An opportunity to showcase their organization to community leaders.
- A network of nonprofit peers that can continue providing support long after the program ends.
As someone who works with organizations and entrepreneurs, I understand how important it is to have the right foundation in place. Passion may get you started, but strategy, strong systems and access to resources help you keep going.
And sometimes the next level of growth isn't about doing more. It's about building the capacity to do what you're already doing even better.
Don't Miss the Application Deadline!
Applications are open now and will close on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Only eight organizations will be selected, so if you're leading a community-based organization in Buffalo, this is definitely an opportunity worth exploring.
For additional information, questions or application details, contact the Buffalo Urban League at info@bulny.org.
And if you know a nonprofit leader who could benefit from this program, share this with them!
Because when our nonprofits grow stronger, our communities benefit.
That's your Town Rundown with ADRI.V The Go Getta!
