What To Do With CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lights) & E-Waste Once Spent.
I posted this similar information last week but I'm going at it again and being more specific. This post, although again addressing E-Waste, is more-so focused on CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs).
According to buffalorising.com, the answer, regarding what to do with your spent CFLs is: take them to 1120 Seneca Street as Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs) are NOT like your regular Incandescent Light Bulbs. They're not the same because they contain Mercury, which is hazardous. So disposing of broken or spent CFLs is a very important task to perform correctly. CFLs should NOT simply be thrown in the trash.
...AND WHOA!!!!! IF YOU BREAK A CFL (especially if you're pregnant) WATCH OUT!!!!!
WATCH:
There is a specific area at 1120 Seneca Street, where CFLs and light bulbs can be disposed of Monday through Friday, from 8AM to 3PM, and the first Saturday of each month from 8AM tp 2PM.
