Wegmans Late Night Shopping a Wrap @ 3 Buffalo Area Stores
Late night munchies, or midnight shopping to avoid the crowds, or whatever your reason for shopping after midnight is ... it will not be taking place at 3 Local Wegmans Stores as of March, 2018, according to News Sources.
Why the move by Wegmans? Well, according to WGRZ Channel 2 News, Wegmans says this decision will benefit the consumer because it will provide for increased employee staff to work during peak hours when most people their shopping (and less shoplifting?....just my personal opinion).
The store that will be affected are: (according to News Sources)
- 675 Alberta Dr. Amherst
- 601 Amherst St. Buffalo
- 1577 Military Rd. Niagara Falls
According to Wikipedia; Wegmans began operation in Rochester, NY in 1916 but was known as Rochester Fruit and Vegetable Company. Since then, and as of November 2017, according to Wikipedia, Wegmans now has 95 stores in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
If you can remember back a bit, Walmart did the same thing but in far more than 3 stores...try 64 Stores nationwide.
