Two U.S. Soldiers Attempting To Smuggle $1M Worth Of Cocaine From Colombia Using A Military Plane
According to News week, former Master Sergeant Daniel Gould and Sergeant 1st Class Henry Rover were caught attempting to transport 90 pounds of cocaine. According to a report from Army Times, the duo reportedly were already successfully trafficking a large quantity of illicit drugs and selling it to a distributor in Florida.
Apparently, they used a hollowed-out punching bag to make the drugs undetectable. In regards to the incident, the Justice Department stated: “Suspicion was aroused at the United States Embassy when packages were X-rayed, revealing cocaine within gutted out punching bags.”
The soldiers now face up tp 10 years in prison and will be sentenced on March 12th.
