Should Alva Johnson Keep Quiet?
Former Trump Campaign Aide Alva Johnson is filing a lawsuit against President Donald Trump alleging that President Trump tried to kiss her inappropriately and without consent prior to a 2016 Campaign Rally in August of 2016 in Florida.
Here's what Alva Johnson says took place, as reported in a news article written by Megan Trimble, Digital News Editor for U.S. News & World Report:
In an interview with the Post, Alva Johnson claims Trump grabbed her hand and leaned in to kiss her on the lips as he exited an RV ahead of a campaign rally in Tampa, Florida, on Aug. 24, 2016. The White House denies the allegation, the Post reports.
Johnson told the Post that she turned her head to avoid the kiss, but said Trump's kiss landed on the side of her mouth. In detailing the interaction to the Post, Johnson claimed she thought: "Oh, my God, I think he's going to kiss me. He's coming straight for my lips. So I turn my head, and he kisses me right on the corner of my mouth, still holding my hand the entire time. Then he walks on out."
"I immediately felt violated because I wasn't expecting it or wanting it," Johnson told the paper. "I can still see his lips coming straight for my face."
