Riverworks Blind Hockey Empowers Kids Who Are Visually Impaired
This was an interesting approach to teaching Hockey to kids. The Toronto Ice Owls, according to news reports, took to the bice to not only teach kids how to play hockey but also to show kids that a 'visual impairment' does not prevent you from being able to participate ina sports like hockey. The news article explains that kids with visual impairment were invited to the event.
“Whatever disability you have – if you have a thing you want to do, you should get it off your chest. Whatever happens, you’ve attempted it. I always want to try new stuff. There’s no harm in trying.”
