Last night, there was a full moon in the sky, but it wasn’t just any full moon. It was big, bright, and…red?

The reddish tint classifies this full moon as a beaver moon.

The BEAVER MOON was in full view on Tuesday across New York State. It reached its peak red hue in the morning hours on Tuesday, approximately 6:02 A.M. EST. The Beaver Moon reaches peak illumination in the morning hours of Tuesday, November 8, at 6:02 A.M. EST.

It was also a total lunar eclipse, and it will be the last lunar eclipse of its type until 2025.
