What To Know About Buffalo's Italian Heritage Festival On Hertel

Can you believe that we're near the end of July already?

Summer is more than a month old, and before you know it, August will be here, and when the eighth month of the year swings around, you know what that means: September will be here before you know it, and then that's the end of summer.

However, don't worry, there is still plenty of time to do all the great things we have on our summer bucket lists this year. One thing that we have to make sure we do this year is coming up soon, and if you're like most folks from Buffalo and Western New York, you are eagerly looking forward to the Galbani Italian Heritage Festival.

Showcasing and celebrating Italian history, culture, heritage, and cuisine, the Galbani Italian Heritage Festival is a 3-day event that takes over part of North Buffalo and allows those of Italian descent who have made Buffalo their home to showcase some of the contributions they've made to our community.

The festival, which takes place this year during the last full week of July, from Friday, July 24, 2026, through Sunday, July 26, 2026, is set to welcome thousands of people to Hertel Avenue in North Buffalo to enjoy all the festival has to offer. Festivals in Buffalo are fun, but they are even better when those who participate follow some key rules.

Dear People Coming To The Italian Festival, From A North Buffalo Resident

As a long-time North Buffalo homeowner and taxpayer, I know I can speak for many of my neighbors when I say that we truly hope you have a great time in my neighborhood. The next few days of eating, singing, dancing, stomping, and hanging out with family and friends (both new and old) are great.

However, before you visit our nice and well-kept neighborhood, please observe a few items of common courtesy that we North Buffalonians would sincerely appreciate if you took note of.
