One thing about Buffalo... when we celebrate culture!

If you're looking for something fun to do this Thursday, make plans to head to Buffalo Central Terminal for Circle Thursdays: Latin Night, happening July 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Circle. Best part? It's completely free and open to all ages.

After a successful kickoff to the Circle Thursdays series, the Central Terminal is once again turning Memorial Circle into a block party full of live music, dancing, food, and community.

Headlining the night is Billboard Latin artist La Cassandra, a Dominican-American singer-songwriter who's quickly making a name for herself with a sound that's impossible to put in one box. She blends merengue, bolero, R&B, jazz, pop, disco, and Afro-Latin rhythms into music that's full of heart, culture, and storytelling. Since debuting in 2021, she's earned recognition from Billboard Latin as an artist to watch, and her latest album, Gloria & Dolores, continues to showcase her unique sound and Caribbean roots.

Also taking the stage is The Joey Gonzalez Collective, led by Buffalo music veteran Joey Gonzalez. For more than 40 years, Joey has been bringing people together through music, mixing traditional Latin sounds with contemporary influences to create performances that get the crowd moving and celebrate the richness of Latin culture.

And it wouldn't be a party without some familiar faces. My friends Berto and Tayrin Tapia will keep the energy going as hosts and MCs throughout the evening.

Circle Thursdays has quickly become one of Buffalo's favorite summer traditions, bringing thousands of people together to celebrate music, culture, and community at one of the city's most iconic landmarks.

Along with incredible live performances, you can expect food trucks, local vendors, family-friendly activities, dancing, community organizations, and plenty of space to kick back and enjoy a summer evening. Bring a lawn chair, grab your family and friends, and make a night of it.

Events like this are exactly what Buffalo summers are all about, bringing people from every background together through music, food, and culture.
