Police Discover 200 Pounds of Marijuana During Traffic Stop
Even if it were legalized in New York State, it wouldn't allow for the possession of 200 lbs of marijuana. According to news stories and the New York State Police in Mesena, New York, two people were arrested for having that amount of weed.
While conducting a routine traffic stop in the town of Chatham, a K9 search uncovered the 200 lbs of 'weed'. To put that in perspective, just imagine a person you know that may weigh about 200 pounds...that's a whole bunch of marijuana.
According to reports:
Corey W. Heald, 29, and Kelly L. Heald, 51, both of Massena, were arrested for felony criminal possession of marijuana. They were arraigned on Town of Livingston Court and held without bail in the Columbia County Jail.
