WGRZ posed this question and got a ton of feedback from people as to why they think people are leaving New York State.  The news article claims that 1.4 million people have left New York since 2010.  The U.S. census numbers reportedly indicate that 77,000 people have left New York State between 2018 and last year.

A report was conducted showing that most people who leave New York State move to Florida, Texas, California, and Pennsylvania.

According to the news story, two lawmakers, Republican Senator Jim Tedisco and Democratic Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara started this bi-partisan initiative to examine why people are leaving New York State.
