No More Cat Declawing in NYS

Well as you can see, based on the featured picture relative to this post, NYS Cats are overjoyed about this decision...the decision in NYS that will ban the declawing of cats.

The Humane Society has deemed declawing inhumane.  According to news sources, many people agree, saying that the procedure to declaw a cat is

cruel and barbaric since it involves the amputation of a cat's toes back to the first knuckle.

My wife and I were personally faced with this decision and I gave it little thought due to the procedure being abusive, painful, and involving literally amputation...there was NO WAY we were putting Boots & Twink through that.  Instead, we bought things that would occupy the cat's habits which does include scratching, and it has worked immensely.
