NFTA Looking To Give Artwork Tiles BackTo Their Creators
I've always been amazed at the level of creativity and talent exemplified in the tiles that grace the walls of the Greyhound / NFTA facility. Now due to construction, and havi1ng to tear those walls down where the artwork plaques are located, NFTA Officials are trying to determine each artwork's owner in order to return them to the kids (now adults) who created them in 1986. The artwork projects are a part of a project sponsored by Tops Friendly Markets in 1986 where local students created drawings that were transformed into ceramic tiles. 198 tiles were created by artist Jackson Gregory and have been featured on two walls inside of the NFTA / Greyhound building, according to WGRZ News.
