Twenty years after the release of his debut album, Nas is celebrating with his documentary 'Time is Illmatic'!

To all my Nostradamus fans, Nas has just announced that his film has the honor of opening the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival on April 16 with a epic performance and debut of his film.

The documentary is among many projects that Nas is working on following his 13th album 'Life is Good'. Since then, he has teamed up with professor Henry Louis Gates to lend his name to Harvard’s Hip-Hop Archive. The project is for visiting scholars and will help to pay for research and academic programs.

At WBLK, we salute Nas for his hard work, and we say ”Congratulations”!

Side note: On Thursday, February 27, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Toure, music journalist and contributor to Nas’s autobiography, 'Ain’t Hard to Tell', will be at Canisius College. Stay tuned for more details.
