One thing you need when living in Buffalo is a list of numbers to call for help in the case of unexpected or even expected weather realted emergencies.

Well here's that list per WGRZ:

• Any Power Outrages should be Reported to National Grid - 1-800-867-5222
• Any Power Outrages experienced by customers using New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG) should call - 1-800-572-1131
• Water, Heat, or Electric emergencies should be directed to the New York State Department of Public Service at - 1- 800-342-3377.
• All Life-Threatening Emergencies call - 911  
• All Non-Life-Threatening Emergencies should call  311
• Downed Telephone Lines - call Verizon Repair at - 800-837-4966. (and according to WGRZ News,  Do Not Touch or move the downed line, as power lines can be confused with phone or cable connections.)
• Spectrum Customers with outages should call - 833-267-6094
