Herman Boone Dies at 84

Before rumors begin to fly, Denzel Washington is alive and well!

Herman Boone was the real-life Football Coach who inspired the ever-famous Denzel Washington movie, 'Remember The Titans'. He died this week at the age of 84.

Former President Richard Nixon once said, (according to news reports) that Coach Boone saved the city of Alexandria.  Others had similar opinions.  Per WJLA:

"I think that Coach Boone, I would say he's one of the pioneers that helped us overcome segregation," "I think that his legacy will live on because if it weren't for that championship team, I mean where would we be today?"
