I use to play all day everyday when I was a kid. My favorite time at school was recess and gym because I loved to play so much. There is a new challenge to help kids play a little bit more and have a lot more fun. Its called the Play Everywhere Challenge and is a collaboration with The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation and KaBoom which are both non-profits and both are focused on creating and restoring play spaces for kids.

This challenge was develop to create new ideas for bringing play to unexpected but everyday spaces and making play easy and available for kids and families with grants of $1 million awarded to winners of WNY.  Last year,  nine in Western New York .

The application process for the challenge opened today and will be going on until March 22. How to  apply and other key deadlines, click here .To apply you can be a non-profits or individuals/groups who have partnered with them and be located inside these counties Western New York (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Monroe and Wyoming).
