The most familiar account regarding the invention of Buffalo Chicken Wings is normally related to the Anchor Bar owner, Teressa Bellissimo, according to word-of-mouth and Wikipedia.

There is, however, another Buffalo Wing invention story involving a man named John Young who moved to Buffalo from Alabama, according to Wikipedia, and opened a restaurant called John Young's Wings & Things

"I am the true inventor of the Buffalo chicken wing. It hurts me so bad that other people take the credit."

As the story goes, John Young moved to Buffalo in 1948 from Alabama and brought with him his famous Mambo Sauce...famous among the people who knew about it, anyway.

Sources say that Mr. Young opened his own restaurant called "Wings-n-Things" where he sold the wings. The Mambo sauce had the same taste of a Buffalo Wing, thus Mr. Young claims it's his invention.
