According to reporting by WKBW, officials found a 50-year-old man dead on Kilhoffer Street in the early Wednesday morning.

The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has not yet been identified. Medical professionals with the Erie County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Police investigators remained busy Wednesday morning due to a shooting that happened just a few blocks away, near the corner of Moselle and Scajaquada Streets.

An unidentified man was seriously injured by gunshots around 11 a.m. WKBW also reported that an ambulance transported the victim to the Erie County Medical Center where he is currently listed in serious condition.

These two incidents are just the latest in what seems like a never ending string of violence in our neighborhoods. I don't know about you, but I am so sad and tired of this violence.

What can we do as a community to start to reduce the amount of violence?

Police officials are currently investigating both of these incidents and really need your help to solve them. If you have any information please text or call the Buffalo Police confidential tip line at (716) 847-2255.
