ICE Agents In The Empire State May Soon Have A Shocking New Tool

It seems like the rift between different levels of government in the United States continues to grow at an exponential pace. It's not only the divide between the federalists and those advocating states' rights, but everyday citizens are being pitted against each other more and more.

With the latest news from the Department of Homeland Security about a new tool that agents from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement may be deploying on the streets of the Empire State soon, you have people on both sides of the political divide getting more entrenched in their positions.

Ice May Start Using Electric Shock Gloves In Operations

According to a request from the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, and Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) may spend $20 million on new gloves that can deliver electric shocks to people.

The devices, which are known as G.L.O.V.E., are devices that are worn on your hands like gloves and can deliver an electric shock to a person like a taser. The gloves, which are officially known as Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter, have been used in various jails and by police departments in different parts of the country for a few years, according to AP News.

Now, if the Department of Homeland Security has its way, these gloves, which are made by a Kentucky-based company, may be on the streets of New York pretty soon, which of course doesn't sit well with the people who have been elected by the people to represent the Empire State.

According to the Buffalo News, both New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York Attorney General Letitia James are not happy about this, especially due to the fact that such devices may be illegal in New York State.

The Buffalo News reported that Attorney General James believes these gloves violate the New York State Constitution, which the AG plans to ensure is enforced.
