Looks like we are all going to start cheering for the Bucs a little bit more if we were not already!

Western New York native Jordan Nwora, who went to Park School is headed to Milwaukee to play for the Bucs!

He was drafted last night in the second round of the NBA draft as the 45th overall selection.

He is just the second player from the Western New York area to be drafted to the NBA in the past 10 years.

Now, if you remember Buffalo had an NBA team at one time. The Buffalo Braves entered the league in 1970 before relocating to San Deigo in 1978.

Due to the regulations, and Canada not traveling to the United States, the Toronto Raptors are still unsure where they will play their home game this year and New York State Senator Tim Kennedy has advocated that he would like to see Buffalo play host the team.

Opening night for the NBA is December 22, 2020.

Here are some of his stats according to WKBW:

During his time with Park School, Nwora averaged more than 21 points, three rebounds and one steal a game. He went on to play his senior season at Vermont Academy. Nwora played collegiate ball at Louisville and is coming off a high-performing junior season. He finished 2nd in the ACC in scoring [558 points], 3rd in three-pointers made [76], and 5th in field goals [189].
