As Buffalo, Western New York, and Bills fans everywhere get ready for the Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, many people all over the region are starting to solidify their plans.

Those plans would've been set in stone days ago, but since Gerri had other plans for us, many people have gone back to the drawing board to think about how they're going to get to and from Highmark Stadium, where they're going to park, will they be able to tailgate, and more. With all of the snow that has hit Western New York over the last day or so, you must take time to consider these things. The last thing that any Bills fan wants to have happen is to get stuck in the snow on their way to Orchard Park.

This is especially important since officials are issuing warnings that they may be unable to clear away all the snow to ensure ample parking.

If you don't want to deal with traffic and parking, there may be another way for you and the crew to get to the game you may not have considered...

If You Need A Ride To The Bills Game, Consider The Game Day Express Bus

To help alleviate traffic and parking concerns, the NFTA plans to have several buses to transport people to and from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park for the Bills vs. Steelers game.

For $5 each way, you can ride in style to and from the game without having to worry about parking. Buses are scheduled to arrive between 1 and 2 hours before the start of the game, with return buses leaving 30 minutes after the end of the game.

There are four routes that the NFTA has running to and from the stadium, with multiple departure and arrival times:

  • Route 251: Niagara Falls Transportation Center and Athol Springs Park and Ride
  • Route 252: University Rail Station (Upper Bus Loop), with a stop at the Utica Rail  Station
  • Route 253: Metropolitan Transportation Center with a stop at the McKinley Mall
  • Route 254: Eastern Hills Mall (Pick up / drop off near JC Penney) with a stop at the Thruway Mall

This is now the 2nd year the Game Day Express has run to and from Highmark Stadium, and it's been incredibly convenient. I've taken the Game Day Express before and can vouch that it's a great ride.

You can find more information about the Game Day Express bus and its full schedule on the NFTA website.
