Hundreds Descend On Canalside to Show Their Love For Buffalo
Summertime in the 716 is in full swing, and the people of Western New York are out in full force celebrating it. It's almost a ritual in the Buffalo area to spend as much time as possible outside enjoying the good weather, especially since we only have less than twelve weeks of it.
However, one of the great things about being in the Buffalo area is that there is always something to do. Whether it's a world-class food festival, touring some fantastic architecture, catching a fabulous show or concert, or just hanging out near one of the world's largest bodies of fresh water, Western New York has plenty to help you keep your calendar full.

One of the things that Buffalonians have chosen to do year after year is show how much they love Buffalo and Western New York. That love for the 716 caused several hundred people to head down to Canalside early on a Saturday morning.
BuffaLove Apparel partnered with several organizations and community partners, including Townsquare Media, News Channel 7 WKBW, and WNY Heroes, to present their 10th Anniversary Aerial Photo event.

Those who gathered at Canalside all donned BuffaLove t-shirts and stood in the shape of a charging Buffalo. Then, thanks to an assist from the Buffalo Fire Department, photographers got in a fire bucket and were lifted nearly 100 feet in the air to snap a photo of the crowd.
Once the photo was taken, the crowd was invited to have ice cream and lunch catered by Chiavetta’s BBQ on the Canalside lawn and enjoy live music from the band Only Human.
