Alabama Man Sentenced for Bringing Illegal Guns to Buffalo
A man from Alabama has been sentenced to prison time for bringing guns into Buffalo.
An Alabama man has been sentenced for bringing illegal guns to Buffalo, according to WIVB. Jeffrey Lewis has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for transporting guns to Buffalo. He was arrested in September 2018 after police found multiple guns in his possession during a traffic stop. When police searched his vehicle on Hempstead Avenue in Buffalo, they found four semi-automatic pistols. Lewis pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal possession of a weapon, which is a felony, in October of 2019.

These guns are then used to shoot and kill members of our community.
