A Couple Fights With The Law For More Guests At Their Wedding

According to WIVB, two New York couples took their complaint to a federal Judge, to get the 50 person limit on attendees at their wedding lifted. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, wedding couples have been making new plans and, the tough decision of who's not making the cut as a guest on their big day.

According to WIVB, Judge Glen Sudaby Lifted the band temporarily, this will prevent the state and local authorities from enforcing the limit of 50 people at the couple's wedding. In a recent lawsuit filed with the U.S District Court, the couple argued that the 50 person limit at a wedding is unjust and violates their rights.

The lawsuit also complains that large gatherings during the protest of George Floyd's death were not banned. According to WIVB, this trail has not gone to court yet, but as a wedding DJ myself, I often think about what length a couple will go to make sure the biggest day of their lives, go off without a hitch.

Judge Sudaby restraining order was not well received by, Caitlin Girouard, Press Secretary to the Governor, According to WIVB Caitlin Girouard said.

The Judge's decision is irresponsible at best, as it would allow for large, non-essential gatherings that endanger public health. We will pursue all available legal remedies and continue defending the policies that have led to New York having the lowest infection rate in the country.
