Wiz Khalifa & Sean Paul Brought Good Vibes To Western New York
After the great concert season Western New York had in 2024, many people were worried that 2025 would not be able to live up to the hype, especially with folks like Drake doing back to back shows in Buffalo, however, so far the concert calendar this year has not disappointed one bit and there is a lot more summer to go.
Already this year, we’ve had some great shows hit the region with people like Mary J. Blige, Kevin Hart, Disturbed and Carly Pearce. This has been a good year already, and it's only going to get better. Looking over the 2025 Concert Calendar, the year full of great shows, and if what happened at the first concert of the year at Darien Lake is any indication, things are only going to get better.
Music superstars Wiz Khalifa and Sean Paul teamed up to kick off their North America tour in Western New York at the Darien Lake Amphitheater and the good vibes were on full display all over the venue.

Wiz Khalifa & Sean Paul are on a 15 city amphitheater tour that will take them all over North America and Buffalo was the place where they got things started.
The show opened up with one of the best DJs in the music game today, DJ Bonics, who got the crowd hyped and ready for the first artist of the night, Fedd The God.
Fedd hit the stage rocking a custom Buffalo Sabres jersey and during the show, hopped down into the crowd and gave his jersey away to a fan in the pit.
Chevy Woods followed up Fedd and brought some energy and big smiles as he led the crowd with some classic Taylor Gang hits. The 30 Deep rapper blessed one special fan when he tossed a special treat right into the crowd.
Just as the nearly 20,000 people at Darien Lake was really getting into the flow of the night, DaBaby hit the stage and whipped everyone into a frenzy. The Million Dollar Baby dropped hit after hit including his colboartions with the City Girls, Sexyy Red, and more.
Once DaBaby wrapped up his set, the stage crew got the stage ready for reggae superstar Sean Paul. Chanderpaul spent more than an hour on stage giving fans all the classic reggae tracks he’s known for, plus some new music. Fans heard all the hits like Deport Them, Gimme the Light, Get Busy, Like Glue, I’m Still In Love With You, Boasty, and more, and most folks sang right along with Sean Paul for the his entire set.
Once the island vibes were done, DJ Bonics took the stage once again and dropped a song that Buffalonians know well, the Bills Shout Song had the crowd going crazy until Mr. Taylor Gang himself, Wiz Khalifa took the stage.
For more than an hour the Rolling Papers rapper had the crowd going with a great light show and dope lyrics while rhyming hit after hit. From Black and Yellow to See You Again, Wiz has tons of fans in Western New York and it shows.
Overall, the first show at Darien Lake for the 2025 concert season was a big win.
