2026 Brings The Cruisin for A Cure Car Show Back For 15th Year
Sunny skies and warm temperatures greeted hundreds of people as they walked around the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Campus neighborhood, looking at tons of classic cars, trucks, and bikes in support of a great cause that may even help save a life.
I personally love a nice car, so being able to check out the 15th Annual Cruisin' For A Cure Buffalo-Niagara Car Show is a great time, plus as a cancer survivor myself, it's great to see people learning more about a cancer that takes the lives of way too many people around the nation.
Now, one of the great things about living in Buffalo and Western New York is that if you ever find yourself in need of cancer treatment, there are tons of free and low-cost screening programs that the various medical systems have to offer. Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is a leader in cancer research and treatment, and this event was just one of many to help raise awareness of a disease that can be treated if you find out about it early.
15th Annual Cruisin' For a Cure Buffalo-Niagara Car Show Is A Great Time
Presented by West Herr New York, the Cruisin' for a Buffalo-Niagara Cure Car Show is sponsored thanks to a partnership between Men Allied for the Need to Understand Prostate Cancer (MANUP) Buffalo and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, and features dozens of classic cars, sports cars, race cars, trucks, and motorcycles in a show that spans the blocks around Roswell Park's campus, along with education and screenings for prostate cancer.

According to data from the National Cancer Institute and the Department of Health and Human Services, prostate cancer is the 2nd most common cancer that impacts men in America. Approximately 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, and in 2026, it's expected that as many as 300,000 men will be diagnosed with this disease.
Prostate Cancer Can Be Cured If Caught Early
Not only was Saturday, September 26, 2026, filled with lots of people checking out great cars, it was also the place to be to find out more about prostate cancer, information about getting screened and tested, along with treatment options.

Even after all these years, it still remains a top killer of men in America. The rates of death are far worse for African American/Black men and men of Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. Fortunately, prostate cancer is one of those diseases that can be cured if caught early. If you're 40 or older, you should really chat with your physician about screening.
Being screened is often just as simple as a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test or a digital rectal exam (DRE), which can be done in minutes.
More than 200 men were screened for prostate cancer during the event, and things were so great that plans are already underway for the 2027 event. You can find out more information about prostate cancer and the Cruisin' for a Cure Buffalo-Niagara Car Show online at the Roswell Park website.
