Melanin Skyn Co. is thrilled to announce "Our Shades of Melanin," a free, family-friendly event set to take place on July 21, 2024. This event, hosted at the BNMC Innovation Center located at 640 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY, 14203, is dedicated to embracing diversity, promoting community wellness, and showcasing products formulated for melanin-rich skin.

"Our Shades of Melanin" aims to celebrate the beauty of all shades of melanin while fostering an inclusive community environment. Attendees of all ages are invited to experience an array of activities, engaging discussions, and opportunities to explore Melanin Skyn Co.'s innovative skin, beard, and body products. The event will include live demonstrations, product testing, and a host of activities designed to promote self-love and unity. You can come out and enjoy:

Testing of Melanin Skyn Products: Attendees will have the chance to learn about and test Melanin Skyn Co.'s products, which are designed to enhance and celebrate melanin-rich skin. Live demonstrations will showcase the effectiveness and benefits of these specially formulated products.

Workshops and Activities for Children: Families are encouraged to bring their children for a day filled with fun and learning. Young participants will engage in D.I.Y workshops and activities that encourage self-expression and self-love, making it a memorable experience for the whole family.

There will be featured speakers including 

Dr. Melissa Neal: A distinguished ophthalmologist with expertise in skincare for diverse skin tones, Dr. Neal will share her valuable insights and experiences as a person of color, focusing on the nuances of skin care for melanin-rich skin.

Virronica Dixson: A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Dixson will lead discussions on the importance of mental health and self-care practices, offering practical advice to enhance well-being.

Charles Burley III: A respected licensed barber specializing in beard growth and maintenance, Burley will provide lessons on proper beard care, helping attendees maintain their best look.

So what is Founded Melanin Skyn Co?  In 2019 by Ashley Valarie Nicole, Melanin Skyn Co. was born out of a need for skincare solutions tailored to sensitive, eczema-prone, and melanin-rich skin. After experiencing frustration with available products and facing skin challenges with her own child, Nicole began crafting her own line of skincare and body products. Melanin Skyn Co. now serves individuals with melanin-rich skin, offering effective and inclusive solutions.
