Imagine having your own place to chill, party, or even have a cold beer on your lunch break on a prime piece of property that no one knows about. According to NBCnews.com, officials found a place with a fridge, beer, flat-screen TV, and a futon in a secret "Man Cave".
According to NBCnews.com, New York City's iconic Grand Central Terminal, was the lounge area for three employees that used the unauthorized room to hang out, get drunk, and party. A Metropolitan Transit Authority inspector general reported on Thursday.
Many a New Yorker has fantasized about kicking back in a prime piece of Manhattan real estate- especially one this close to good transportation. But few would have the chutzpah to commandeer a secret room beneath Grand Central Terminal and make it their very own "Man Cave".
said, inspector general Carolyn Pokorny according to NBCnews.com.
Fire officials said the place wasn't on any maps and it presented safety hazards, terminal managers didn't even know that the place existed.
All three employees denied that they used the room, according to NBCnews.com the inspector general says their story is "not credible". The employees have been suspended without pay. I like the break room, but it's definitely not a good idea to have a drink and party on the job.
