As the summer of 2024 quickly draws to a close, when we look back at this year, it's going to be easy to say that 2024 was one of the best years for entertainment we've seen in decades. Right from the start of the year through the summer and into the fall, multiple shows, events, and concerts would easily keep this year ranked among the best we've ever had in the 716.

Just about every type of entertainer in every genre has come through town. From comedians to world-class rappers and singers, there seems to have been something great to do every day this year. When you thought things couldn't improve, another great show gets announced.

If you are a fan of New York hip hop and pop, then you are more than likely among the thousands of people who made their way to the KeyBank Center on a Thursday evening to see the Queen of the Barbz herself, Nicki Minaj.

The second leg of Harajuku Barbie's Pink Friday 2 World Tour made its way to the 716 on Thursday, September 12, 2024, and Nicki made sure to bring a star-studded lineup to keep the people of Buffalo entertained well into the night.

Not only were fans treated to more than 30 songs by Nicki Minaj herself, Tyga, Bia, Skillibeng, and DJ Boof made sure to leave their mark on the crowd.

The doors to the KeyBank Center opened at 8 pm, and the concert started promptly at 9 pm with a DJ set by Nicki Minaj's official tour DJ, DJ Boof, who turned the energy in the KeyBank Center up quickly as he got the crowd ready for the first performer Skillibeng.

Skillibeng jumped right into action and had the crowd singing several of his hits. Jump, Whap Whap, Big Mood, Crocodile Teeth, and more kept the crowd going. As Skillibeng wrapped up his set, Bia got ready to hit the stage, and she did not disappoint. She ran through several of her hits for Buffalo.

The Massachusetts-born rhymer dropped several songs from her catalog, including Whole Lotta Money, Millions, I'm That Bitch, Lights Out, and more.

Not long after Bia had Buffalo standing on its feet, T-Rawww himself hit the stage. Tyga came out with the swag that can only come from a Compton, CA, born spitter. Buffalo was ready for all Tyga's hits, and he obliged with songs like Rack City, Ayo, Taste, Mamacita, The Motto, and more.

Once Tyga wrapped up his set, DJ Boof returned to the stage to get Buffalo ready for the Queen of the Barbs herself, Nicki Minaj. After rocking the crowd and sending a huge shoutout to the Buffalo Bills, Boof made way for Nicki, and she did not disappoint with her introduction.

She started the show with her hit I'm The Best and then went through several other hits like Barbie Dangerous, FTCU, Beep Beep, Mamita, and more. Nicki was back on the stage after a brief intermission for an outfit change, ready to give Buffalo more hits. She rapped and sang songs like Pink Birthday, Cowgirl, High School, Right Thru Me, and more.

With the crowd going crazy, the dancers took over as Nicki made another outfit change to prepare for more hits. Nicki and the crowd rapped and sang Chun-Li, Red Ruby Da Sleeze, Truffle Butter, Black Barbies, Barbie World, Monster, and more.

Of course, Nicki Lewinski, aka Nicki The Ninja, aka Roman, had a few more outfit changes for us before she got to some of her biggest hits like Super Freaky Girl, Super Bass, Moment 4 Life, and Starships.

When you thought the concert was over, Nicki gave Buffalo a fitting encore by dropping Everybody.
