Every Week I look to feature and interview a young mover and shaker who embodies the “Go Getta Spirit” and is doing great things for the people and themselves in the Western New York and Southern Ontario community. Having the blessed opportunity of having my show “The Go Getta Mix” I look to use my platform to acknowledge those people nominated as “The Go Getta of The Week.

  Born and raised in Buffalo, NY Tanisha D. Mackin,  is a woman of many hats she is CPC, Author, coach and founder of the Mackin Project. In 2001,she received her BA in Mass Communications from Medaille College and later returned to school to receive her MBA in healthcare management in 2011 from the University of Phoenix.  

 In 2012 Tanisha Mackin became a bereavement coach and established TDM coaching to help women who lost their spouse, fiance, boyfriend or partner.  She has provided a service to help women cope with the pain of losing their loved one.  Through her life experiences, passion, compassion and training, she is here to offer support where needed. Tanisha is dedicated to coaching, supporting, caring, comforting and providing tools for achieving joy again, while helping women set personal goals that that they wish to accomplish.  Although She is a bereavement coach, she is also a life coach that can help anyone get to that next level in their life. Her focus is to encourage widows to embrace change and transformation through difficult times.  

In 2010 the Mackin Project started after the lost of her husband to violence in August 2010.  She later created her first book Still Standing, a story of strength and perseverance and recently released her second book Still Standing II, A Widow's Journey.
