Buffalo turns The Statler into the choir stand as social media influencer Will Johnson brings his beyond popular Choir Rehearsal with Friends tour to the Queen City on May 9th. But it’s not a rehearsal; it’s a show where YOU are the choir! What started out as just a fun way for a group of friends to take a walk down Memory Lane, back when choir robes were a serious matter and the procession was just as important as the performance. Back when Sunday wasn’t just for service; it was an all-around experience.

“Anybody who knows Buffalo knows this city is filled with musical talent, and we’re looking forward to having that talent get a spotlight on a platform with a national following,” says event promoter Gerald Drayton. “Buffalo loves a good time, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen. This isn’t just a community choir rehearsal or another concert to attend. The experience and nostalgia brought to the stage will be unforgettable, and Buffalo will be sure to make this the most memorable stop on the tour.”

Buffalo definitely needs to be ready to bring the noise and the notes. “I didn’t know Buffalo even wanted me to come,” says Johnson, speaking on all the Instagram requests to bring the show to Buffalo. “I love this city, and I know y’all are ride or die fans for whatever y’all love, so this means so much to me!”

Buffalo, and all the surrounding areas, is full of musical talent and some of them will get the chance to put a spotlight on that at the event. “We can’t do this without doing a mic toss,” Drayton shares. “We know Buffalo can sing down, and now it’s time to show the world.”
