Kayne West Rocking The Confederate Flag

Kayne West is known for controversy! In the last few weeks, he brought out a Jesus look alike during his new tour, declared his girlfriend Kim K to be more influential than Michelle Obama, accused of battery against a photographer, and most recently spotted rocking the confederate flag.

Many people view the flag as a symbol of racism and Kayne has been in numerous pictures sporting the controversial image while the merchandise is selling out on his tour. Kayne says he doesn't support the confederacy but is "flipping it's meaning". Kayne claims he is making the flag his own. He states "its super hood and super white boy approved at the same time".

Other celebrities took slight offense to the image, considering its history and meaning  including Rapper Q-Tip. Is it just merely a fashion symbol, publicity stunt, or something more ? What are your thoughts?
