Beware of this very clever scam that's fooling people left and right.  You're urged by the Better Business Bureau to ignore the notice, do not call the number on the notice, and call the Better Business Bureau immediately.

These scam notices are being seen in Elba, New York as well in Niagara County and the Southern Tier, according to the news reports.  The Better Business Bureau is advising you to throw the notices out as, according to reports, the company gets you to call and convinces you that there is a Water problem in your area and then will try and sell you 'water softening product', according to the news story.
