If you didn't get wet enough on the Maid Of The Mist, then heading out into the gorge on foot is the way to go then. The Hurricane Deck is a wooden walkway that is built against the gorge walls near the Bridal Veil Falls and puts you within feet of the water.

Check out the Cave of the Winds

Before getting to the Hurricane Deck, you have to traverse into the Cave Of The Winds. In its original form, it was a natural rock cave that went behind the Bridal Veil Falls and was 130 feet high, 100 feet wide, and 30 feet deep. A terrible rockfall happened in the 1950s and destroyed the original cave. Since then it was been rebuilt using wooden decking to give people the same experience.
