Does Sisterhood Exist Among Successful Black Women? [VIDEO]
As we prepare to enter a new year, it's time to reflect on how we treated ourselves and others in 2013. Watch Nia Long and other successful women speak on the importance of Sisterhood inside.
In 2013, the cast of Best Man reunited to bring us the Best Man Holiday. And contrary to popular belief, the leading actresses don't compete with each other -- instead they support each other.
In a world where "reality" TV glamorizes ratchet girls, these women remind us how important real girlfriends and sisterhood is for a fab 2014!
Nia Long goes deeper in the video below.
Ever since I moved to Buffalo, I have met all kinds of women: genuine fans of my show, haters, motivators, ladies who talk a good game but don't back it up, and a few women who have become my best friends! I'm happy to say that I have found a group of women who are around for the fun things like concerts, but also come through to support the kids and the community. They are there when I need to call and vent about men and work and show support for my business endeavors with their checkbooks open with love.
If we can all aspire to have as much grace and poise with other women and support our sisters like Nia Long and Sanaa Lathan do, 2014 will be the year that we really see our communities uplifted!
Simply said: Let's stop hating and gossiping and starts cherishing the beauty of women everywhere!
