An auto accident between a Buffalo Police Officer and a civilian left two people with injuries.

According to reporting by WKBW, a Buffalo Police patrol car crashed into another vehicle in downtown Buffalo Friday afternoon. The incident, which occurred at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Goodell Street around 2:30 p.m., caused some traffic delays for those heading into downtown.

Both the police officer and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to the hospital required medical attention. The names of the people involved have not yet been released by authorities.

Police haven't released any other details surrounding this crash. Officials did add that no charges have been filed against either driver at the current time.

The Buffalo Police have been busy these last few days. Between incidents like this crash, the tragic accident on I-190 that resulted with a person being ejected from their car, and the 31-year-old man who was shot and killed at the Embassy Suites downtown, local law enforcement has its hands full.

This of-course is in addition to the other shootings that occurred earlier this week...

Investigators from the Buffalo Police could use your help in solving these crimes. If you, or anyone you know, has any information about any of these incidents, please call or text the Buffalo Police confidential tip line at (716) 847-2255.
