If you've seen the billboard at the corner of Niagara Nad Mohawk street that says, 'To Know Us Is Toi Love Us', it's a billboard promoting the Buffalo School District entity. Well, that billbaoard is not the only thing the Buffalo School District Office is promoting, they're also promoting the fact that they are hiring Substitute Teachers.

DUTIES:
A substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Substitute teachers must implement teacher lesson plans, assign student class work and homework, maintain classroom control and discipline. In some cases substitute teachers may be required to complete a daily report or evaluation to communicate any pertinent information resulting from the day's events. Substitutes must have teaching capabilities and able to follow oral and written directions. Establishing effective working relationships with staff and students is very important.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree. Official sealed college transcripts will be required upon hire.
SALARY:
The Substitute Teacher title is a per diem (on demand) position with the Buffalo Public Schools. The daily rate of pay starts at $112. Substitute Teachers are required to work a minimum of 20 full days per school year to retain employment.
