January 6 is a day that people all over the world will never forget, like many Americans, I could not believe what I was seeing as I watched with family on the television. According to WGRZ, A Buffalo man has been indicted on federal charges in connection to what happened on January 6 at the United States Capitol. Thomas Sibick faces a few charges, one of them is an assault on a Metropolitan Police Department Officer, Michael  Fanone.

Here are a few of the other charges that Thomas faces. Obstruction of a civil proceeding and aiding and abetting in civil disorder, assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers. He also faces other charges like, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence on restricted building or grounds.

Sicbick had been previously accused of violent entry and disorderly conduct when he took the badge of an officer that had been beaten in D.C, I have been following this incident from the beginning, and based on the footage that I have seen, his defense attorney is really going to have his plate full when seeking an acquittal on either of these charges.

Thomas Sibick defense attorneys argued that he was trying to help pull the officer away from the rioters, but prosecutors say the Sibick went on social media saying, he was in a riot and also said in a post that it was the "Wildest experience in my life". The events that happened on that day were just horrible, to say the least. I feel that all people that were responsible should be held accountable.
